I'd won a million battles but never told anyone.
Was I supposed to wear my victories on my chest like a diplomat?
Then would the world see me as strong?
Most people take pride in their ability to stand their ground.
But life had made me soft, not hard.
I was flexible while they were stiff.
They were foolish enough to stand tall against the ocean.
I knew how to flow with the tides.
They'd be washed away to another shore
While I swam to claim new land.
They wanted to fight every war.
I just wanted to end them.
