I live in Melbourne but my heart belongs to crisis stricken Athens, home to many adversities but also mother to some of the most creative artists that keep this city alive in spite of its predicament.
I found my way back last month and immersed myself into the ugliness, the decadence, the beauty that oozes from the rawness of the concrete masses around me.
Anna Papathanassiou, aka Luna Stoner, is one of those creative souls blooming and at the same time being swallowed by this city. Together, we escaped the concrete and the reality of living so far apart from each other for a day.
We celebrated our friendship and how we managed to mature into the strong women that we are, through hardship and pain.
We talked about how many times our achievements were taken away from us and felt grateful for all the lessons life's taught us; how self-aware we came out of each and every challenge.
We shared our deepest thoughts, our fears, our dreams.
In the end we agreed that girls can do great things together, not just in their dreams, in Real Life.
Till we meet again...
