Since I was around 14 I have been passionate about high fashion, I've read books, studied big houses like Chloé, Alexander McQueen, Chanel, and Dior, my dad was even sweet enough to subscribe to literally every fashion magazine out there so I could read and learn more. My dads endless support for my clothing addiction and magazine addiction helped turn me in the direction I am in today. Both him and my mom encouraged me to follow my dreams of one day working in the fashion industry. Today I study Textiles, merchandising, and communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am a photographer for the University's fashion magazine (thisseasonmagazine.com) I got into photography as a way to express myself and try to put my foot in the door using social media platforms like Instagram and Tumblr. I cry when my anxiety kicks in, I get overwhelmed and feel like I am not good enough to succeed in the fashion industry. I have family and friends that comfort me and remind me that I am good enough and everyone should follow their dreams. It's days like today when I wake up and find this e-mail about my photos being featured and an article being written about me, that reassures me dreams do come true. "Madison Potter"
